women of elegance career & etiquette training program

This program which started as the result of the “Inner Healing for the Tender Soul” Conference is geared toward homeless women and their children. Our program includes development sessions in the following areas: 

• Personal and Business Etiquette

• Job Readiness Skills, Personal Discovery and Health/Wellness concerns

• Job Readiness, Skills Assessment  and Career Mapping

• Computer Training

• Counseling, Group Sessions and Team building.

• Basic life skills training which includes: money management, household management and problem solving

• 9 Week Counseling sessions and Post training mentoring sessions

At the end of the 3-4 month educational training segment, it is intended that those who successfully complete this program will have the opportunity to be housed at the Destiny House transitional facility which will be located at the City of Refuge  Retreat Center. After Care Counseling will consist of a program (monitored by counselors and case management staff) that will allow our organization to assist them with: 

• Continued Spiritual/Discipleship Counseling and Group Therapy (where needed)

• Practicing good money management skills (which include a savings and checking account).

• Practicing good household management skills.

• Becoming gainfully employed and/or pursue other educational/lifestyle alternatives.

• Tools that will enhance their decision making process.

• Obtaining permanent housing through housing grants
